Staying at Chanthavinh Resort was a mixed experience for me. The beautiful views of the Mekong River and the helpful staff were definite highlights. However, the inconvenient location and cold room conditions made my stay less enjoyable. The dining options were also lacking and didn't seem to match the prices charged.
I had a mixed experience at the resort. The facilities were lovely and the rooms were spacious, perfect for relaxation. However, the location made it challenging to get into town, and the dining options didn't quite meet my expectations. Prices seemed a bit high considering the limited local access.
The resort offers a peaceful escape on the side of the Mekong River, with beautiful garden views and wonderful staff. However, the hotel is quite far from the town, requiring a boat to access amenities, which can be inconvenient. The rooms provide stunning views but can be chilly due to drafts. Overall, it's a picturesque but challenging location for those wanting to explore Luang Prabang easily.
The resort has a beautiful setting on the Mekong River with enormous potential, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. However, issues like poorly maintained bathrooms and inconvenient location make the experience less enjoyable. The staff's communication can be lacking, but one standout employee was very helpful. Overall, it offers a mix of charm and disappointment.
This hotel offers a unique experience on beautiful grounds only accessible by boat, but navigating the steps can be a hassle. Although the pool is nice and the rooms are generally clean, the service felt overstaffed and disconnected. The free mini bus service to the town center is a definite plus, but watch out for the Wi-Fi issues that were frustrating during my stay.
